Since 1994, Chabad has worked together with the Jewish Committee on Scouting and Tzivot Hashem International to provide Chaplains for Kansas City's two Jewish troops and all Jewish scouts at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Oceola, MO. Chabad Chaplains lead Shabbat and Havdallah services and discussion groups for the Jewish troops as well as helping out scouts with their Ner Tamid awards. Jewish crafts, such as Shofar making, Kippah painting, Hebrew calligraphy and Challah baking make the scouting experience all the more meaningful. Throughout the summer, Chabad Chaplains are at H. Roe Bartle each Sunday to lead prayer and Havdallah services as well as a Jewish crafts project for Jewish scouts from other troops.
